Edward Nelson

Managing Partner

Mr. Edward Nelson Mwakingwe serves as our consultant on corporate and commercial matters, bringing extensive expertise in corporate transactions, project finance, banking, litigation, and arbitration. Holding a Master of Laws in Mercantile Law from Stellenbosch University, Edward combines in-depth knowledge of Tanzanian law with a global perspective, enabling him to advise clients on structuring and managing Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) in Tanzania. His guidance helps investors navigate complex legal frameworks while optimizing business outcomes.

Edward’s practice spans intellectual property, competition law, employment rights, corporate, banking, and commercial law, including drafting and handling security documents. He has advised and represented a wide range of clients, including major banks, government institutions, and corporate entities such as Tanzania Ports Authority, Vodacom Tanzania, Mwalimu Commercial Bank, and Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania. Edward has also served as Company Secretary for multiple organizations, providing strategic corporate advisory services that support governance, compliance, and operational success.
